I thought a lot about how to talk like different people in my story today. I wanted to know their likes and dislikes, how they handle conflict, their backstory, and so much more.
There are different voices for each character, their word choice and mindset is important.
You can have a character who is jovial on the outside, but really sad and falling apart on the inside. So they will tell different jokes, show how their upbringing made them into a jokester, but also highlighting the sadness and its source.
So in my story, I am trying out dual point of view, with very different characters.
I am also working on making sure they sound, move, and act differently enough where the reader can relate to each person.
So what did I do today?
To be fair, I feel like I am behind.
My period started and all I can do not to scream and cry is curling up and watching anime.
But I did get some words in. I have switched between the two characters, and I am trying to find my feel of them.
I wrote over a thousand words today, and I wanted to write more, but I am listening to my body and resting.
