Day 16 of Write a Book in 45 Days Challenge

I might have to do a full rewrite.

Sitting at my desk for the past few hours, I reread what I have written so far. It feels like none of it is actually the way the story needs to go.

Sure, I did talk some of it over with an acquaintance, and she agreed that if I changed some of the elements, I could save it.

But does this want to be saved? What if this story needs a complete new angle?

As all the doubt creeps in, I need to make a decision. Do I start over with something I can connect with more or keep going with what I have?

Well, I will most likely start over. But the challenge is still on! I will write a 50k or more book by May 10th.

So what did I do today?

I reread my story and thought of the elements I want to add. I also looked at some of my previous work of a shorter length.

I need to rework some of it for this rewrite, but it is still possible. There is something good here that I want to lean into.
