Day 29 of Write a Book in 45 Days Challenge

Writing is kind of like trying to make magic, and sometimes failing to get the spell or calculation wrong.

I have never fully created a magic system before, so I could already be failing to see how to make a book work.

However, I want to finish this book so badly, not because I think it will be groundbreaking, but because I have been practicing finishing the things I started.

So what did I do today?

I took some time to look at what my characters are thinking.

Telling myself that each character had something important to tell him. Most of the day went away to me packing my things up and finding out why I was so sad. Turns out that the feeling of packing everything up every few months gets old.

So I wrote about another short story in my head and finished a book.

Word count: 28,277 words
