Today was a short day. I had to travel and didn’t get a lot of time to write before I had to hop in a Lyft and head to the airport.
I do plan to write while in the airport and tell you more about it tomorrow.
My goal is to make write as much as I can today and then have a lower writing day tomorrow. I have learned how to have high and low writing days. Whether it is a combination of life circumstances and my over all health, some days are just harder to write than others.
There are also low writing mornings and high writing afternoons. The opposite is also true. Productivity for me changes from day to day. I used to think waking up at five am and writing until nine am was how to get my writing done.
But the truth is, not every writing method will work for the same book. This book prefers the middle of the day writing and sometimes after five pm. It does not do well with early morning or late night writing.
I have prime hours and that’s okay.
So what did I do today?
Is there a thing as too many characters? I have a running list of the character and who they are, but I feel like the list needs to be more involved.
I keep making up characters for different things and purposes, but looking at it now, I know that when I rewrite this book, I will need to eliminate some characters.
It’s interesting to know that even with all the capability to tell a story, it can still feel hard to tell it.
