In this first month’s newsletter, I want to provide a few more writing tool than I did on Juneteenth.

Screaming in the Forest: A Poetry Collection
The last few months have been really big for me.
In May, I published “Screaming in the Forest”, a poetry collection that took three years to compile.
It captures self grief, personal journeys and loving the broken parts of our reflection.
Several people have already expressed their love for this collection.
But they all say on thing in particular, they have to read it slowly to absorb the weight of the words.
It is an honor of me, as a writer and a poet, to have such a big impact on others.

The Poison of Fate: The Fates Book 1
In June, I was able to publish my debut novel.
“The Poison of Fate: The Fates Book 1“, which follows three characters as they try to save their clan and defy the gods.
Be prepared for chaotic gods, scheming stepmothers, a poison like no other, and secrets that could destroy all they sacrificed for.
It is LGBTQIA+, a bit comedic, fantasy, no spice, and a start of a wonderful world.
My first review said, “I didn’t know you could write like this, it was such an interesting story from beginning to end. And the twists?!? Dude, why?! I loved it.”

Writing Resources
On Juneteenth, I gave out free writing resources to anyone who wanted them.
This is a more detailed resource for both the character and story outline.
For me, knowing how my characters react in different situations allow me to write with confidence.
The next template offers all that you can think about with a character, from secrets to their hair color and background information.
It was given to me by an ex, but I have made my own adjustments for how I write.
Feel free to share this resource with other writers and change as many things as you want.
A big part of writing is finding a system that works for you.
What to expect in July’s Newsletter?
For July, I want to give some details on how I market my book as an indie author, the sales I saw, and new tips and tricks to try.
I will also share another template for those who have series and need to keep their information in one place.
In the mean time, I will be testing out a new writing system and letting you know how I feel about it.
July will be for subscribed members, both free and paid subscription, though the paid subscription will have a bit more than the free one.
